Yuvraj took a hat-trick and followed it up with a swashbuckling 50 to earn the man-of-the-match award, but it was not enough to prevent his side slipping to an eight-run win as they could only manage 137 for seven chasing 146.
"We should have won this game," he said in the post-match presentation. "Bangalore bowled really well and we didn't have the chance to hit big sixes and fours. It was good bowling by them.
"We needed a few partnerships. The wickets are getting slower as the tournament goes on, I hope we get a quicker one next time.
"Bangalore played better today, we've got to accept that, but hopefully we'll win next time."
Bangalore skipper Anil Kumble praised Roelof van der Merwe, whose 35 off 19 balls ensured they posted a competitive total.
"It was a great game," he said. "After losing three wicks in three balls I thought Roelof batted fantastically well.
"We certainly backed ourselves and it was a great job by the bowlers.
Kumble, who dismissed Yuvraj, added: "There was certainly something in the wicket. Yuvraj likes pace on the ball and I wanted to take the pace off. It was important to get his wicket and then tighten the strings.
